Winter Weather Visits Levittown Area

The lower portion of Bucks County was sparred the worst of the weather.

Light snow blanketed pockets of grass at Core Creek Park in Middletown by afternoon on Tuesday.

While much of the area missed the inch plus of snow that some TV forecasters called for, the northern parts of the area received a fresh coating of wet snow.

Major roads were just wet and some side streets were dotted with patches of snow and slush. Highways like I-95, Route 1 and Route 13 remained free of snow and all schools operated on normal schedules.

Parts of the central and northern section of the county received a healthier coating of snow.

The National Weather Service's Mount Holly office is calling for rain and snow to continue throughout the rest of the afternoon and diminish after sundown. Little to no additional accumulation is forecasted.
