Community Corner

COME SEE A DREAMER MEET YOUR CONGRESSMAN!

If you are upset
about Congressman Fitzpatrick's opposition to the bipartisan Senate Immigration
Bill, please join us at his office at 12:15 PM on Thursday, August 15. We'll be there to voice our support for comprehensive immigration reform that
includes a roadmap to citizenship.

And we are going to mark the first anniversary of the DACA
(Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) being put into place by President
Obama. A lovely young man who is a Dreamer is taking his lunch hour to
visit the Congressman's office to tell his story.  It will be the first
time he's taken an action like this.

 We will be
presenting him with postcards from many Bucks County
residents who support the Senate Immigration Bill. The Congressman has said some good things about the need
for a broken system to be fixed.  But he hasn't been specific yet about a roadmap to citizenship.
We're working to encourage him to support a roadmap
like that found in the Senate bill.

 Also,
please share this petition asking for a roadmap to citizenship.  The more signatures,
the stronger the message to the Congressman: Immigration reform matters
to your constituents and we want a roadmap to citizenship!
