Bolton Mansion's Holiday House & Tree Lighting Ceremony
85 Holly Drive, Levittown, Pa
Come into the decorated mansion and meet Martha Washington, portrayed by local author Gloria Bertonis and her nephew, Major Washington whose troops camped on the Bolton grounds on the way to batlle. Former residents (in the 1700's), Anthony and Mary Morris will greet people in the dining room. The wonderful sights and smells (hot cider and gingerbread) of the holidays will please each visitor. The tree lighting will take place on Friday evening, November 30 at 6:00 p.m. Group Christmas Carols, lead by the Arise Praise Team from the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, will accompany the tree lighting. Food and beverages will be available. Entrance to the Holiday House, after the tree lighting, is $5.00 (Age 16 & below is free). The Tenant Buiding will hold a surpise for all of the children - Santa in his chair and a train display with animated figures and things to hang on the tree for each child - plus a candy treat and a free hot chocolate for each visitor.
On Saturday the Holiday House will be open from 2 until 8 pm and will feature hearth cooking, candle making and music. BucksMont Squires will be perfoming at 3 pm. Music by Bill Williams is at 4 pm.
