Olde Langhorne Harvest Day

The 9th Annual Olde Langhorne Harvest Day will fill the streets of Langhorne Borough with children’s activities, local handcrafted items, music, food and fun on Saturday, October 5th from 10:00AM to 3:00PM.

“The Langhorne Borough Business Association is excited for the 9th Annual Harvest Day.  It’s fantastic to be a part of a community that provides entertainment throughout the year for families and children to come to and make wonderful memories,” says Kari Thomas, LBBA Secretary. “We think that there will be plenty of fun for both grown ups and kids.  Whether you are looking forward to the Dress-Up Parade, the bands or some delicious food from our local eateries.”

Children will be invited to “paint the town” with sidewalk chalk creations to celebrate October.  There will be a scavenger hunt through Maple Avenue, as well as a Dress-Up Parade down Maple Avenue.  Kids are invited to wave to onlookers as they parade through town, wearing their favorite dress-up costume or even creating something at home to wear.  “Children can even don a princess crown, a tutu, a silly mustache or pirate patch from their own toy collection at home,” says Rachel Fullan, Owner of The Little Old House of Make Believe.  “Or maybe if a mom or dad is particularly crafty, whip up something simple & fun.  We will also have things on hand that day to create something great!”

Crafts, face painting, a tattoo artist and a moon bounce will also round out the fun for the kids, as well as the opportunity to get their photo taken on the Langhorne Borough Fire Truck.

Local delectable menu items from area restaurants including Sara’s Homemade Sweets, Langhorne Coffee House, The Langhorne Hotel, Landofi’s Deli, Brother’s Pizza, The Sandwich Club, The American Legion & more are bound to whet everyone’s appetite.  Handmade items including children’s dolls, hand knitted accessories, candles & jewelry will also be on sale from local crafters.
