Help a Warminster Native in the Fight of Her Life: Local GoFundMe

New mom, Sandra Rose Bilotta, recently received a terrifying diagnosis while living thousands of miles away from her family. Friends have set up a GoFundMe page to support her as she fights to make "cancer her b*tch."

Like a lot of new moms, Sandra Rose Bilotta spends a fair amount of time updating her Facebook page with pictures of her beautiful five-month-old twin girls. She also takes the time to remind people to “treasure the little things” and “make the most of every moment.”

From an outward glance you might never know that Sandra Rose in the midst of fighting for her life, as just a few short months after brining her newborns home from the hospital she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.

Originally from Warminster, Pa., Sandra Rose, 31, currently lives with her spouse, Amanda, in England. According to the GoFundMe page set up for Sandra Rose, it has been exceptionally difficulty for her family, as they are separated by the Atlantic Ocean.

“We want to help alleviate some of the pressure… so they can focus their energy on supporting Sandra Rose and Amanda in their fight,” wrote Alison Price McGinnis, close family friend and the administrator of the GoFundMe Campaign.

The fund raising effort is asking for donations to help support the family with various expenses: testing to determine if family members are bone marrow matches, travel costs incurred in her treatment and other things that might pop up along her road to recovery.
