Last year, the memorial to the 2,982 victims of the 9-11 attacks was dedicated in New York City, 10 years after tragedy.
This year, politicians will be excluded from speaking at the September 11 ceremony at ground zero.
The foundation that controls the memorial said this year the reading of victims' names by relatives will be "the exclusive focus of the program," according The Associated Press.
After 10 years, is this a sign the attacks are starting to fade from American consciousness, or is it just a smart move in an election year?
