Oscar and Beth: Working People Need a Raise

As controversy heats up over Mitt Romney's tax returns and outsourcing, the national conversation has again turned to the growing gap between the rich and the poor.

As controversy heats up over Mitt Romney’s tax returns and outsourcing, the national conversation has again turned to the growing gap between the rich and the poor. Local community members are continuing that conversation and calling for their member of Congress, Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick to raise the federal minimum wage. Beth and Oscar know plenty of people in Levittown who are barely making it on low wage jobs and are asking Congress to support The Catching up to 1968 Act of 2012 which would raise the minimum wage to $10 per hour. Beth and Oscar are 99% voters who are calling on our elected officials to stand with working people for a change.

A raise in the minimum wage would put more money in the pockets of working people and boost consumer spending, which drives 70% of our economy.

Tell Congress that the 99% needs a raise. Tell Congress to increase minimum wage today.
