VIDEO: Philadelphia and Pittsburgh Sports Fans Unite Against the RNC

The "PA Workers" aimed to let all PA elected officials know that they should make the rich pay their fair share and stop providing tax breaks for corporations that ship jobs overseas.

During the Pennsylvania RNC delegation breakfast meeting in Tampa this week, a group of Bucks County and western PA protesters “serenaded” the group with a special version of a classic Steelers fight song.

Just as the program was about to kick off, the group made their presence known with a “PA Workers” song calling on the Republican delegation to focus on the concerns of working people of Pennsylvania, not just the wealthiest 1%.

“As an Eagles fan, it was tough to sing the Steelers fight song, but speaking out against a Romney-Ryan economy is more important than any team,” said Earl Williams of Levittown.

The group was comprised of many minimum wage, unemployed and outsourced workers from across the state, many of whom have tried repeatedly to raise these issues with their members of Congress as home. Many of the protesters work at Bain-owned companies like Dunkin Donuts and have experienced a Romney economy first hand.

The “PA Workers” aimed to let the delegation know that Mitt Romney and all PA elected officials should make the rich pay their fair share, raise the minimum wage and stop providing tax breaks for corporations that ship jobs overseas. The group also had a message for their Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick who recently voted against even considering the Bring Our Jobs Home Act, a bill designed to end tax breaks for corporations that ship jobs overseas.

After being removed by security, the protesters made their way to the sidewalk to wait for guest speaker Speaker John Boehner while chanting, "Hey Boehner you're the worst, time to put the people first."

The Philly-area protesters assured their western PA friends that the next RNC  performance would be to the tune of, "Fly Eagles Fly."
