What would you put in Mitt Romney's Gift Basket?

Gift basket in hand, a group of Bucks County residents will be visiting the RNC to bring Mitt Romney a dose of reality.

Mitt Romney has problems just like everyone else. He owns six homes and cannot always decide which one to go to. His dressage horse is very expensive; in fact, he gets a $77,000 tax credit for its upkeep. The construction of his $55,000 car elevator is way behind schedule. And people keep bugging him to release his pesky tax returns.

As tough as it is to be Mitt Romney, he may be (just a little) out of touch with what regular Americans are going through. Pennsylvania families are struggling while Mitt Romney meets with high-end donors and refuses to release his tax returns.

A group of Bucks County residents will be visiting the RNC in Tampa to represent the 99%. They’ll be bringing a “Gift Basket from the 99%” to remind Mitt Romney that the Ryan/Romney vision for the economy is bad for working families.

Here are a few of the items already in the gift basket:

  •  Work boots worn to a job moving machinery from companies that have shipped jobs overseas.
  •  Empty pill bottle from life-saving Diabetes medicine paid for by Medicare, not Ryan Budget “coupon care.”
  • Tax return from a local taxpayer who pays their fair share and is not ashamed to share their return.
