What's Happening in Your Levittown Neighborhood?

Yesterday morning, as I drove the kids to school, I witnessed the remnants of a crime in my neighborhood. As we pulled up to the elementary school, we saw large red letters spray painted across the old brick building.

Later that day, the same letters could be seen sprawled on my neighbor’s white vinyl fencing. Their house backs up to New Falls Road and their fence has been a target for vandals since the day it was installed.

I had every intention of capturing the ugly display with my Blackberry, in order to share it here, but an hour later when I returned to the scene, it was already gone. What was left was a man spraying and cleaning the mess, with the help of materials from his TAG truck.

Thanks to TAG, Towns Against Graffiti, the graffiti was quickly removed.

It still leaves this Levittown Mom to wonder. Whywas it there and what does it mean? Graffiti anywhere, makes a neighborhood feel dirty and desolate. No one wants to see it in their neighborhood or on their own fence.
