STOP the INSANITY!! Stop the CLUTTER!! 5 Simple techniques that are easy to stick to from Kellyann Schaefer, Task Complete www.yourtaskcomplete.com

Imagine how much time is wasted looking for that "thing" you have misplaced...

Now ... You still can't find it...

So what do you do? You buy it again! How often has this occurred in your life?

STOP the INSANITY!! Stop the CLUTTER!!

5 Simple techniques that are easy to stick to:

1.  Stop buying unnecessary items!
Tip: set a "USE" deadline.  Keep all tags and receipts.  If you haven't worn, used, or hung that new item in 30 days ... take it back!!

2.  Everything has a place!

My Nanny Al used to always say, "Everything has
its place!".  Very simple ... very true!
Tip: Put it away the right way the first
time!  30 seconds now walking that item upstairs saves you minutes and
even hours of decluttering later. (I dare you to just try)

3.  Keep it where you need it!

A very easy simple solution.
Tip: Keep things where they are used and most
appropriate. Why in the world would you keep a beautiful key basket by the
front door when you always go out the garage!?  Imagine how many lost
steps ... and, therefore, lost time just from that one small mistake.

4.  15 minute daily clean up! Easier said than done ... but very rewarding.

Tip: Every night before bed, no matter how
tired, do a 15 min dash.  Enlist the help of others within the home.
Grab a small laundry basket and go room to room collecting all those items that
don't belong and returning to their rightful homes. (If you are sticking to tip
#2, this might only take a minute!)

5.  Keep a bin for unwanted items!

Every time you pick something up that you know you have
no further use for, you are wasting time.  Stop saying, "I might need
this later."  (Usually our garages are proof of this)
Tip: Keep an empty tote in your garage or if you
can accommodate the space, in the bottom of your closet.  Whatever you no
longer have use for, donate it to your favorite charity.  There is still
life in those items, but not necessarily for you!

Once you have implemented these steps, and yes you need to stick with it, you will welcome your stream-lined, clutter-free lifestyle.  Always remember that clutter COSTS you time!
