Mark Connelly receives Mitchell Connor Award

Considered the Chamber’s highest honor, this award is named in memory of Chamber member, Theodore L. Mitchell, who perished while piloting his private aircraft in 1980, as well as a current member, Michael B. Connor, for his service as the premier leader and unsurpassed volunteer as a Chamber member.

The award is presented to a current or past member who, through their continued actions, has made significant and exceptional contributions to the Chamber’s goals.  This award has only been given out a few times, to a very select group of recipients throughout the Chamber’s history.

Mark Connelly (The Dow Chemical Company), deservedly so, received the Mitchell Connor Award at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Volunteer Recognition Event.  Mark, a past Chairman of the Board and Leadership Bucks County graduate,  has been a leader and a dedicated volunteer as a member of the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce.  He has been active on numerous committees, and has shown true leadership in a challenging and difficult time.  His ability to stay focused on the vision of a favorable outcome during the organization’s transition has continued to show commitment and dedication far beyond what was expected or imagined.
