C. Ruth O'Donnell, 85, Worked for New Jersey Superior Court

O'Donnell will be laid to rest alongside her husband in a private burial service at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Upper Makefield Township.

C. Ruth (Shouldis) O’Donnell of Falls Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown. She was 85.

Born in Philadelphia, Ruth was the daughter of the late William and Catherine Shouldis. Prior to moving to Falls Township, she was a long time resident of the Twin Oaks section of Levittown.

Ruth was retired from the State of New Jersey Superior Court, Trenton, N.J. She had previously worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Philadelphia. Ruth loved warm weather, spending winters in the Florida Keys for many years after retiring. She also enjoyed sewing and was an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was pre-deceased in death by her husband, Edward J. O’Donnell and a brother, William Shouldis. She was the loving mother to Edward (Kathleen), William, and Maureen (Barry) Morris. Ruth will best be remembered for her love of family. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren, Kelly, Edward, Daniel and Barry, along with her 4 great-grandchildren.
