John T. 'Jack' Gerace, 81, Korean War Veteran

Gerace worked for Whitman's Chocolates for 30 years before retiring.

John T. 'Jack' Gerace of Levittown passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 81.

Born in Philadelphia, John was the beloved husband of Elisabeth, for 56 years. He was preceded in death by his father Dominic, his mother Faye, and his sister Bonnie. John was a devoted father to his children, Elaine O'Brien of New Hope, Thomas of Fallsington, and Beth Harris (Joe) of Fairless Hills. He will also be sadly missed by his six grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and long time friends.

John was a graduate of Southeast Catholic, Class of 1950. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, having served in the 2nd Infantry.

John retired from Whitman's Chocolates, after 30 years of dedicated service.

John was an avid basketball player and sports fan, who was known around town for his half court hook shot. John was a loyal and trusted friend to many.

Relatives and friends may call from 9 until 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd., Levittown, where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. The Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
