$10K Stolen from Home, Police Say

Nearly $10K was stolen from a home, according to a recent police blotter, which raises the question: How much money is too much to have around the house?

Nearly $10,000 was reported stolen from a Bristol Borough home among other items, according to a recent police blotter.

A home on the 800 block of Pine Street in Bristol was burglarized, according to a March 8 police blotter. Someone reportedly stole a 47 inch Vizio TV, a Cannon Rebel camera, and XBox 360 with games, a Playstation with games, an assortment of gold and silver jewelry, a motorcycle jacket, a Bose sound dock, CDs, a Playstation Vita with games, a D2Pad Android, a weed whacker, and a power drill, in addition to $9,400, the report said.

While there's not much to do to protect your belongings like TVs and gaming systems from being stolen when your home is burglarized (save having a home security system), bank accounts and safety deposit boxes are traditional ways to safe-keep money.
