Auto Parts Valued At $6K+ Taken From Parked Cars

Bristol Township police repored several crimes and arrests. 

Police said that sometime between May 18 and May 19, someone broke into a car lot on Bristol Pike in Levittown and removed parts of several parked vehicles. Five cars were found with their exhaust systems and catalytic convertors missing. The items were valued at over $6,300.

Police also reported several other instances of theft in the past week.

Someone stole jewelry from a home on Idlewild Road in Levittown sometime after 6:30 a.m. on May 20. Police said someone broke into the home through a rear bedroom window. The amount and value of the missing jewelery was not known.

Police said someone broke into a home on Fleetwing Drive in Levittown sometime between 4:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on May 20. A flat screen TV set, valued at $1,000, was reported stolen from the home.

A Ford van, parked on Bristol Pike in Levittown, was stolen sometime overnight on May 20. Police said it was valued at about $3,500.

Police said a trailer was stolen sometime Tuesday night. The trailer was parked on Penn Avenue in Levittown at the time.

A GPS system from a 2002 Saturn was stolen sometime overnight on May 20. The vehicle was parked outside a residence on Spruce Street in Bristol. Police valued the GPS device at around $150.

Sometime overnight on May 20, power tools were removed from a tool shed behind a residence on Whitewood Drive in Levittown. The tools were valued at about $600.

Police said $15 was reported stolen off the console of a 2011 Kia sometime between 11 p.m. and 11:20 p.m. on May 20. The vehicle was parked on Fairway Avenue in Bristol at the time of the incident.

Police said a power washer was stolen from a residence's garage on Great Oak Road sometime last week. The washer was valued at $500.

Change, amounting to $8, was stolen from a parked 1999 Mitsubishi sometime overnight last Monday, police report. The vehicle was parked on Arthur Avenue in Bristol at the time of the reported theft.

Sometime between May 18 and May 23, police said someone broke into a home on Bloomsdale Road in Levittown and stole a laptop computer, valued at $400.

Car batteries, worth $1,ooo, were reported stolen from several parked vehicles on Bristol Pike in Levittown. The incident occurred sometime between 4 p.m. May 21 and 8 a.m May 23.

Jewelry was stolen from a residence on Inlet Road in Levittown sometime last week. Police said the items were valued at around $500.

Police say that overnight Monday, someone removed an air conditioner compressor from a residence on Durham Road in Bristol. The value of the item was unknown.

Musical equipment was stolen from a 1995 Buick sometime on May 20. Reported missing from the vehicle, which was parked on Veterans Highway in Bristol at the time, were a guitar with case, foot pedals and electric guitar cables. Police said the items were valued at $1,618.

Someone stole a Samsung Galaxy S cell phone, valued at $450, from a location on Veterans Highway in Bristol. Police said the incident occurred sometime on May 9.

Police report that between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. on May 25, a Motorola Droid cell phone, valued at $100 was removed from 2011 Toyota. The vehicle was parked on on Wynfield Avenue in Bristol at the time of the incident.

Bristol Township police also reported several instances of vandalism.

A 2006 Toyota, parked on Wistar Road in Fairless Hills, was scratched sometime overnight May 20. The approximate value of the damage is unknown.

Police said someone smashed the rear window of a parked 2008 Chevrolet on Ford Road in Bristol. The incident occurred sometime overnight May 23.

Police said they also made two arrests last week.

Gregory Lenegan, 40, of Bristol, was arrested on a local warrant on State Road in Croydon. Lenegan's bail was set at $25,000.

John Greenwald, 48, of Quakertown, was arrested on Bath Road in Bristol on a bench warrant. Greenwald was later released to Bucks County Sheriffs.
