Bank Robbery Suspect Crashes Car in Middletown

A man suspected of robbing the First Federal Bank in Middletown this morning crashed his car near the Oxford Valley Mall.

A car driven by a suspected bank robber making a get-away was headed on the wrong side of Oxford Valley Road about 11:30 this morning, according to emergency scanner reports.

Contrary to initial reports, police were not chasing the suspect, officials told Action News, but the suspect must have panicked during his escape, prompting him to race his car. He lost control and crashed into two other cars near .
