Bristol Police: Thieves Caught Trying To Steal $500 Cement Statue

Bristol Township police reported several crimes, including one arrest.
Bristol resident 29-year-old Craig Wood was arrested at 9:35 a.m. on Wood Avenue in Levittown on Oct. 14 on a local warrant, according to police. He was arraigned at District Court No. 4. Wood's bail was set at $50,000. He was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
Police said a robber, described as a black man wearing a blue-hooded sweatshirt, shoved a small caliber handgun into the victim’s stomach and said, "Give me all your money." It happened at 11:55 p.m. on Veteran's Highway in Bristol. Police said the robber then reached into the vehicle and took the victim’s purse. The robber fled on a dark-colored bicycle down Veteran's Highway.

Someone stole a 1986 Chevrolet bearing Pennsylvania registration No. HPD8117, that was parked at State Road in Croydon, police reported. It happened at 10:50 a.m. on Oct. 14.

Two gas cans, valued at $50, were reported stolen from a utility trailer that parked at Stream Lane in Levittown, police said. It happened at 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 14.
A statue, valued at $500, was nearly stolen from Kingapple Lane in Levittown. Police said a resident, who watched thieves trying to place a cement statue in the trunk of a car, tried to stopped them when they dropped it. It happened at 7:04 a.m. on Oct. 15 .
Six air conditioners were stolen from around Emilie Methodist Church on New Falls Road in Levittown, police reported on 1:17 p.m. on Oct. 16.
A bicycle and scooter, valued at $380, were reported stolen from the driveway of a home on Wildflower Road in Levittown at 1:20 p.m. on Oct. 16.
