Copper Pipe Crime Wave Continues In Levittown

A copper piping crime wave continues to sweep through Levittown, Bristol Township police report.

Sometime this week, police said someone entered a property on Dogwood Drive in Levittown and stole a large quantity of copper piping.

In addition, police said that sometime between the beginning of April to April 8 someone entered a location on Red Cedar Drive in Levittown, stealing a bundle of loose copper piping.

Sometime on April 8, someone removed an external air conditioning unit from the side of a residence on Green Lane. Police said the victim also reported a stolen car battery. The approximate value for these two items was not known.

Sometime between 9:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 a.m. Friday the registration plate of a 2001 Chevrolet was stolen. The Chevrolet was parked outside a location on New Falls Road in Levittown. The value of the plate was reported as $37.

Police also reported several instances of vandalism over the weekend.

A large piece of cement was thrown through the rear window of a 2004 Ford on Sunday, police said. At the time of the incident, the Ford was parked outside a residence on Green Lane in Levittown.

Another Ford was also damaged over the weekend. Police said that the vehicle was being store at a facility on Ford Road in Bristol when an unidentified subject vandalized it. The value of the damage is approximately $200.

Sometime overnight April 9, the front passenger side tire of a parked Chevrolet was slashed. The vehicle was parked outside a home on Blue ridge Drive in Levittown. There is no approximate value of the damage.

Sometime Sunday night, a Chevrolet parked outside of a location on Bath Road in Bristol, had three out of four of its tires slashed. The value of the damaged tires was not known.

Police said the double pane window of a home on Wistar Road in Fairless Hills was smashed sometime overnight Sunday. The vandalism caused $500 in estimated damages.

All four tires of a 2006 Chevrolet were slashed overnight on Sunday. The Chevrolet was parked outside a residence on Pine Needle Road in Levittown at the time of the vandalism. Poice said the total cost of the damages is estimated to be $600.
