Cops: Heroin Snorting Pilot Fires Gun in Middletown
Justin Levitt, 29, of Middletown was taken into custody after police allege he snorted heroin and fired his gun into neighboring condo units.
An aircraft pilot told police that a bad dream was the reason he fired his gun into the walls of his Middletown condo late Thursday night.
Justin Levitt, 29, faces a felony charge of discharge of a firearm into occupied structure. He also faces four misdemeanor charges of reckless endangering another person and a single charge of possession of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show.
According to PhillyBurbs.com, police responded to the Harper's Crossing complex in the Langhorne section of Middletown after reports of shots fired were called in. They arrived to find several neighbors had damage consistent with a bullet tearing through the building.

After using the excuse that a "bad dream" during sleep caused the incident, Levitt admitted to firing his pistol after taking heroin, Philly.com reported.
A police investigation found that "bad dream" story was near impossible, a story on PhillyBurbs.com said.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
The Associated Press reports that officers also found bottles of urine in the apartment. The news agency reported that he used the urine to pass drug tests required for his to keep his pilot's license.
On Monday, Levitt posted $25,000 of his $250,000 bail and was released from county jail. He is set to have a preliminary hearing on Thursday morning, according to county dockets.
