1 Killed, 3 Injured In Rt. 213 Crash
The crash left a Bensalem man dead and three others hurt.
A white Pontiac, traveling at a high rate, crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a Ford F-150 late Friday night on Maple Avenue (Rt. 213), near the I-95 overpass, in Middletown Township, according to authorities.
The crash left the Pontiac's passenger, a 27-year-old Bensalem man, dead. The driver, a Langhorne resident, is fighting for his life, police said. The two occupants of the F-150, which slammed into a guard rail, were treated for minor injuries, police said.
The body of the deceased victim was taken by the county coroner at about 2 a.m. Saturday as police continued to investigate the cause of the crash.
Officers on the scene said the driver, who suffered serious injuries, was being tested at the hospital to see if impairment was a factor in the deadly crash.
The crash and following investigation had Maple Avenue closed into the early morning hours Saturday.
