Flash Flood Warning in Effect Until Friday Night

Expect periods of heavy rain and possible thunderstorms throughout the day.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for parts of Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including Bucks, Montgomery, Delaware and Chester counties.

The warning goes through late tonight.

The NWS says to expect periods of heavy rain and possible thunderstorms. One to two inches of rain is expected. More “widespread heavy rain” is expected later in the day, possibly during the evening commute, according to the warning.

“Flash flooding is possible along small rivers and streams and also in urban areas,” the warning said.
