Funeral Services Set For Fallen Bristol Fire Police Captain

Captain Dave Wintz suffered a fatal heart attack shortly after leaving the scene of a three-alarm blaze at the Dow Plant in Bristol Township.

Funeral services for fallen Fire Police Captain 63-year-old Dave Wintz, with the Bristol Fire Company, will take place early next week, according to fire officials.

Wintz left the scene of a . He later died of a fatal heart attack shortly before sunrise, Deputy Chief Francis Hufnell said.

Viewing services will be on Sunday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Wade Funeral Home located at 1002 Radcliffe Street in Bristol.

The mass will follow at 11 a.m. at Saint Mark's Roman Catholic Church located at 1025 Radcliffe Street in Bristol. A funeral procession will then proceed to Resurrection Cemetery at 5201 Hulmeville Road in Bensalem.

Bristol Fire Company's Lt. Liz Harrell released a statement Friday. 

"Thank you to everyone for your support during these difficult times for the Wintz family and Bristol Fire Company," Lt. Harrell said.
