Police in Middletown were busy Friday dealing with two pedestrian accidents less than two miles apart.
At around 5 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person struck by a vehicle in the area of Cobalt Ridge Drive and Candle Road, a county dispatcher confirmed.
Police have not released details, but emergency radio reported indicated a 12-year-old boy was hit by a car. His condition is unknown.
In the morning, a driver accidentally struck a jogger in the 300 block of Snowball Gate Drive in Middletown, police Sgt. Steve Forman said.
The jogger, a 63-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by the Penndel-Middletown Rescue Squad, Forman told Patch.
The driver who struck the man will not be cited as Forman said the incident is just an accident. The driver mistakenly thought the man had already jogged past by the time they went to back out.
Firefighters from the William Penn Fire Co. also responded to the call, which was received at 9:42 a.m.
