Levittown Cops Investigate Vehicle-Related Incidents

Police in Bristol and Falls townships have been keeping busy with several incidents involving cars and trucks.

Police in Bristol and Falls townships are dealing with a slew of incidents involving vehicles.

Bristol has reported 13 acts of theft and vandlism to vehicles. 

Falls authorities late week said nearly $1,500 worth of items were taken from cars in the township on Wednesday and Thursday.

Several of the incidents involved thefts from unlocked vehicles. A crime which is easily preventable if residents just check to be sure their auto is secured, Bristol Sgt. Ralph Johnson said at a recent meeting with residents.

Falls and Middletown authorities both dealt with a series of tire slashings recently.

Thursday, November 29

Theft From Vehicle

About $250 worth of items were taken from a 2004 Hyundai in parked along Mintleaf Road in the Levittown section of Bristol Township. A Magellan GPS, sunglasses and loose change were reported missing from the vehicle.

Vandalism to Vehicle

The inside of a 2002 GMC truck on Manning Boulevard in Bristol Township was damaged. The cost of the damage is estimated to be $1,500.

Vandalism to Vehicle

The tire on a 2003 Jeep SUV was slashed overnight in the 1700 block of Bath Road in Bristol Township. The tire cost $100.

Friday, November 30

Theft From Vehicle

At 5:05 a.m., police responded to Hawthrone Lane in the Levittown section of Bristol Township for a reported theft from a locked Kia. A Garmin GPS, cash and jewelry were taken.

Three vehicles parked on Idlewild Road in Bristol Township were broken into overnight. Stereo equipment and fishing gear were taken from the scene.

Three vehicles parked on Idlewild Road in Bristol Township wree broken into overnight. Stereo equipment and fishing gear were taken from the scene. Various hunting equipment was reported missing from a locked car on the same block a bit later.

A locked Nissan was entered overnight and a ring worth $60 was taken from Egret Road in the Fairless Hills section of Bristol Township.

Theft From Vehicle

A Tom Tom GPS and loose change were taken from a locked Subaru parked on Vineyard Road in the Levittown section of Bristol Township. The items were valued at $250.

Theft From Vehicle

A Chevrolet in the 500 block of Bristol Pike in Croydon had its catalytic converter taken overnight. Bristol Township police estimate the damage to be $1,000.

An unlocked car was entered and $300 worth of items were reported missing. An iPod and change were among the items.

Saturday, December 1

Vandalism to Vehicle

A 2009 GMC incurred damage when BB pellets were shot at it in the 100 block of Mill Drive in Bristol Township. The damage is approximated at $1,000.

Sunday, December 2

Theft From Vehicle

Several vehicles were broken into overnight and $2,600 worth of power tools were taken from the 5900 block of Emilie Road in Bristol Township.

Monday, December 3

Theft From Vehicle

Four truck tires from two different vehicle were stolen from the 6200 block of Bristol Pike in Bristol Township overnight. The value of the tires is reported to be $2,000.

Theft From Vehicle

A GMC was broken into and a Dewalt cordless drill and flashlight were taken from the 3400 block of Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Bristol Township overnight. The items taken were valued at $450.

Thursday, December 6

Theft From Vehicle

A car parked along Sweetbriar Road in Falls Township had a $900 Thule bike rack stolen from it. The theft is said to have occurred between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday

Theft From Vehicle

Two tires were taken from a rental truck at the Hertz Rent-A-Car in the 300 block of Lincoln Highway in Falls Township. The tires are valued at $500.

Theft From Vehicle

An unlocked vehicle was entered and an iPod was removed overnight in the 600 block of Beaumont Road in Falls Township. The MP3 player is worth $75.
