Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Bridgetown Pike
A Willow Grove man was killed in a crash that sent his motorcycle off a bridge and down into a creek bed, authorities confirmed.
A motorcyclist was killed on Bridgetown Pike near the intersection of Route 413 (Newtown-Langhorne Road) in Middletown Township shortly before 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, authorities tell Patch.
A county dispatcher confirmed that the male victim was pronounced dead at the scene of crash.
The Willow Grove resident was headed west on Bridgetown Pike, toward Northampton Township, when the accident occured at the bridge that crosses the Neshaminty Creek, according to various authorities on the scene and police radio reports.

The man's Suzuki motorcycle went off the bridge and was found near the bank of the creek. A special towing device was used to bring it to the roadway.
The county cornoner was spotted at the scene late Tuesday working with township police.

A police official told Philly.com he does not believe another vehicle was inolved in the fatal crash.
Authorities did not comment on whether the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet or what caused the crash.
Investigation into the accident closed Bridgetown Pike from Route 413 to Powderhorn Court in Northampton until 11:30 p.m., when the road was reopened.
Crews from the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company, Northampton Volunteer Fire Department and the Penndel-Middletown Rescue Squad assisted police at the scene.
