Tuesday, 10:39 p.m.:
Bristol Township police are investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday night in a structure behind My Brothers Pub at 1542 Haines Road in Levittown.
A man was reportedly shot in multiple times in the legs at around 8 p.m., emergency radio traffic indicated. Police at the scene confirmed that a man was hit by gunfire.
According to an officer at the scene, the gunshot victim was transported to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown by ambulance to be treated for his injuries. The official did not elaborate on the man's condition.
No suspects are in police custody in connection with the crime, the officer said. Early reports indicated that two black male suspects fled the scene on foot.
As three police vehicles idled at the crime scene, a fairly large group of patrons appeared to be enjoying themselves at the pub that was just yards away.
A bartender told Patch the music was playing and no one inside the building heard the gunshots. Police, he said, came in the bar and were the first to tell him about the shooting.
Outside, a lone bystander made a phone call and looked toward the building where police said the shooting occurred.
A few stores down, a group of men filled the Turkish American Club Of Levittown. The evening inside the storefront club appeared calm as some of the men watched TV and others talked with one another.
Police are expected to release more details on the shooting Wednesday morning.
