Man Tells Police He Fears For Wife, Kids

Middletown Township police said they are investigating a man after his neighbor reported concerns.

Police said Timothy Moyer, of Canary Road, reported at 2 p.m. Monday that his 82-year-old neighbor Richard Fischer has been acting very bizarre lately, becoming violent to the point where Moyer fears for his wife and daughters.  

Fischer is reportedly a recovering alcoholic who has started drinking again and reportedly has numerous guns, according to police.

Police said an officer went to Fischer’s home on Tuesday, but was only able to speak with the home health care aide who verified that Fischer does have numerous guns at the house and is drinking again.

Police did not say whether there were any charges pending or if the investigation was ongoing.
