A Bristol Township woman and her two sons were killed and her husband and daughter injured in a horrific crash with a tractor trailer in Lawrence Township, Mercer County, N.J.

The family's Chevrolet Tahoe smashed into the side of a big rig that was making an illegal U turn on Route 1 at 6:30 p.m. Friday, according to multiple reports.

The crash victims are:

  • Mother Jamella Tisdale, 25
  • Son Jaevon Durante, age nine
  • Son Jaden Tisdale, age three and a half months
The driver of the car, Shaqwan Tisdale, 25, and Jamella Tisdale's 8-year-old daughter, who was a passenger, were hospitalized.

Shaqwan Tisdale is an author, gospel artist, song writer and life coach, according to his website.

The family was on its way to a party celebrating the release of an album by Tisdale, according to NJ.com.

The driver of the tractor trailer was charged with three counts of death by auto and jailed. Richard Williams, 45, of Brooklyn, N.Y., is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center in lieu of $100,000 bail, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.

Williams was driving a tractor trailer near the intersection of Brunswick Pike and Darrah Lane. The accident remains under investigation, but authorities believe the family's vehicle collided with the tractor trailer as Williams was making an illegal U turn while traveling south on Brunswick Pike.
