Neighbors Spook Armed Robber In Bristol

Bristol Township police said neighbors who witnessed a would-be carjacking in progress spooked the armed robber.

Bristol Township police said neighbors who witnessed a would-be carjacking in progress spooked the armed robber. 

A 51-year-old woman was walking to her car when police said she was approached by a man who brandished a handgun and demanded she give up her car keys. 

Police said the victim turned over the keys to the robber when other residents started coming out of the apartment building at Bath Road in Bristol at 6:34 a.m. on Nov. 12.

The robber was spooked, got into a vehicle parked next to the victim and fled with the victim's car keys.

Police said the robber was described as a black man, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin to medium build. He was wearing a gray or dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.
