No Evidence of Shooting in Middletown; Several Thefts Reported

Police said a man who claimed to be struck by a bullet was not. Police also reported several other incidents.

Middletown police units responded to East Old Lincoln Highway Tuesday evening after reports of a gunshot victim were received.

A police sergeant said the man who reported being shot was examined and no bullet entry or exit wounds were found.

The police official said he was not sure whether an incident involved a gun happened. He did add that officers found no evidence of a shot fired at the scene.

The sergant said Tuesday night that he had few details he could release.

Theft

Between Monday night and early Tuesday morning, two tires were stolen from a 2007 Toyota Scion parked along the 2100 block of Veterans Highway.

Retail Theft

A 46-year-old Croydon man was issued a non-traffic citation for the retail theft of $79 worth of merchandice from the Giant Food Store on New Falls Road.

Monday, November 5

Theft

Eight metal unbrella poles were taken from the outdoor seating area at the Checkers on Woodbourne Road. The theft is said to have happened between Oct. 29 and Nov. 4. 

Retail Theft

A 19-year-old Levittown woman was arrested for the retail theft of over $700 worth of products from the Macy's at the Oxford Valley Mall.

A Honda generator was taken from the bed of a pickup truck in parked in he 2200 block of East Lincoln Highway.

Retail Theft

A 54-year-old Bristol woman was cited for theft of merchdice at the Giant Food Store on New Falls Road.
