PETA Offers $2,500 for Info on Abandoned Dog

A lab mix was found tied to a rock in Neshaminy Creek in Bristol Township Saturday, according to reports. The animal rights group is offering a $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of the person who left the animal.

Officials from PETA have announced a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who left a dog tied to a rock in the rising Neshaminy Creek.

"Animal abusers are cowards," says PETA Manager Martin Mersereau. "Area residents have good reason to be concerned. People who demonstrate such blatant disregard for life and desensitization to suffering can pose a serious risk to all animals—including humans—with whom they come into contact."

The lab mix was discovered Saturday afternoon by Wyatt Erb and his wife, according to an article from NBC10.com. Bristol Township police told NBC 10 that the dog suffered from years of abuse and had an untreated tumor in her hind leg.
