Police: $61,000 Worth of Glasses Frames Stolen

Bristol Township police have also dealt with several other crimes. Several burglaries were reported.

Police are looking for whoever stole 750 eyeglass frames from a vehicle parked in Bristol Township.

The theft was reported to police Sunday afternoon in the 3500 block of Dixon Avenue.

According to police, two large black bags filled with 500 designer pair of prescription glasses and one Tumi-brand piece of luggage containing 250 pairs of Tumi frames was taken from a 2009 Dodge during the overnight hours.

Police are unsure of whether the vehicle was locked or unlocked at the time of the theft.

Tumi frames are listed on the company's site as often costing more than $250.

Wednesday, November 14

Burglary

During the overnight hours, a house in the 300 block of Bristol Pike in Croydon was enter and 21 packs of Newport Cigarettes were taken. Entry was gained when the front-door glass was smashed.

Arrest

A 62-year-old Levittown man was arrested on a warrant just after 9 p.m. along Marion Avenue. The man was arraigned by District Judge Charles Baum and bail for the man was set to 10 percent of $10,000.

Stolen Van

A white 2007 Ford Econoline E250 was reported stolen from the 6400 block of Bristol Pike at 6:11 a.m. The missing van carries a Florida registration of X372NA.

Theft

A cut fence and copper stolen from the 3200 block of Edgely Road caused $10,000 in loses. The crime is suspected of happening recently.

Theft

Subject(s) entered a locked vehicle parked in the 7000 block of Radcliffe Street and stole $7,350 worth of items. The owner of the locked vehicle reported x-ray eqquiptment, a scope meter, black metal brief case, CR tool kit featuring aluminum gauges, Fluke network tool and a TQT kit stolen at 11:20 a.m.

A license plate was taken from a Mercury Grand Marquis parked along Ford Road overnight. The plate's registration is JCE5525.

Thursday, November 15

Theft

License plate registration ERN0354 was taken from a Cadillac parked on Willow Avenue sometime overnight.

Friday, November 16

Arrest

A 36-year-old Levittown woman was arrested on a warrant out of Philadelphia just after 2 p.m. on South Lane. The suspect was released to Philadelphia police detectives.

Burglary

A home in the 200 block of Magnolia Drive in Levittown was burglarized between 6:40 a.m. and 4:37 p.m. A Sony Vaio laptop, diamond earrings, a Canon camcorder, Motorola tablet PC and a pair of earrings was reported stolen. In total, it is estimated that $2,650 worth of items were taken.

Theft

A resident greeted daylight by noticing two garage door widows were stolen overnight from the 7000 block of Bristol Pike. The windows were valued at $50.

Attempted Burglary

At 11:58 a.m., it was reported that a white male kicked in the door at a home in the 100 block of Holly Drive. The man jumped into a white mid-sized vehicle and was driven away by a white female. The man is not suspected of gaining entry to the home. 

Theft

An Apple MacBook and a 13-inch silver LED screen were taken from the 3000 block of Steel Avenue. The theft was reported to police at 8:23 p.m.

Saturday, November 17

Theft

Four tires and rims were stolen from a 2003 Acura parked on the 1400 block of Veterans Highway overnight. A rear spoiler and emblem were also taken from the vehicle. The value of the items is estimated to be $3,000.

Theft

A GPS unit, XM satellite radio and phone charger were taken from a 2010 Dodge parked along Newportville Road in Croydon. The items were valued at $760.

Theft

A License plate with the registration HKV5860 was stolen from the 300 block of Appletree Drive. The plate cost $36.

Sunday, November 18

Theft

A Tom Tom GPS system and a phone charger were reported stolen from a Honda in the 1700 block of Prospect Avenue. Damage to the window was also reported.

Vandalism

During the overnight hours, a door handle on a 2004 Hyundai was broken off in the 1700 block of Prospect Avenue. The part is worth $100.

Vandalism

All 4 tires were slashed on a 2003 Chevrolet along Gary Drive in the township. scrathes to the hood of the car were also reported. Damage was estimated at $800.
