Police: Bristol Man Faces Assault Charges, Thefts Reported

Bristol Township police released the latest arrest and theft reports for Wednesday.
A 40-year-old Bristol man was charged with assault. George Shafto faces aggravated assault and related charges after an incident with another person at 3:48 a.m. Tuesday. Shafto was arraigned at District Court No. 2. His bail was set at $25,000 and he was sent to Bucks County Prison.
A 27-year-old Bristol man was arrested on a local warrant at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to police. Kenneth Brown was arraigned at District Court No. 3. His bail was set at $15,000. He was sent to BCP.

Louis Derito, 34, of Warminster, was arrested for retail theft, police said. It happened at the CVS on Oxford Valley Road in Fairless Hills at 2:51 p.m. Tuesday. Police said Derito took $47 worth of cosmetic items. Derito was arraigned and sent to BCP.
Police said Ceasar Chambers, 43, of Levittown, was arrested on a bench warrant and released to the Sheriffs. It happened on Veteran’s Highway in Bristol at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said several thefts were also reported.
Police said a 1987 Ford bearing Pennsylvania registration YPR8008 was stolen sometime between 6 a.m. and 6:27 p.m. on Tuesday. The vehicle was parked at Bristol Pike in Croydon. The approximate value of the car was not immediately known.
Three rifles were stolen from a home on Maple Avenue in Croydon, police said. It happened sometime between 9 p.m. Monday and 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. The approximate value of the items was not immediately known.
A chain saw and two hand coils, valued at approximately $340, was stolen from the rear of a PECO property, police said. It happened on Edgely Road in Levittown at 2:29 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said a chunky white man, approximately 20 years of age, was seen placing items in his shirt while in a drug store. It happened at the Walgreens on New Falls Road in Levittown at 3:48 p.m. Tuesday. The approximate value of items taken was not known.
