Police Imposter Tried To Pull Over Drivers
Authorities warn that a police imposter is on the loose.
Motorists in Bensalem have been alerted by the Bensalem Police Department of a possible police impostor attempting to pull over drivers.
The alleged impersonator approached the car and asked the driver for his driver's license. When the man got out of the car, the suspect ended the confrontation and returned to the Impala, fleeing north on Hulmeville Road. Police suspect that that the alleged impostor thought he had pulled over a woman.
Police describe the suspect as a white male in his 40s, approximately six-feet-tall with a thin build. He had short, dark hair and a beard with some gray in it, a pointy nose and sharp facial features. The man wore a blue, long-sleeved sweater with black pants and dark sneakers.

Police remind drivers that if they are stopped by anyone they think is not really an officer, lock the doors, ask for identification and call 911. A police officer's badge will have a police department name on it.
