Police Make 9 Theft-Related Arrests

Middletown Township police said they made several theft-related arrests.

A 21-year-old Levittown man was arrested for recklessly endangering another person, according to police. Police said Thomas David Watts was trying to evade being taken into custody by security after a report of retail theft at Sears in Oxford Valley Mall at 8:41 p.m. on June 8.

Four other people were also arrested at Oxford Valley Mall.

Two Levittown women were taken into custody for retail theft at Sears at 4:38 p.m. on June 9. Police said Nakia Ravonne Hawkins-Carter, 19, and Latia Monique Shivers, 25, face theft and related charges after nearly $200 worth of merchandise was stolen.

Also, at 9:25 p.m. on June 9, 29-year-old Morrisville resident Nadija Monique Bennett was arrested at Macy’s, according to police. It happened after nearly $130 worth of merchandise was stolen. Bennett faces theft charges, police said.

As a result of a suspicious incident at Sears on June 11, police said Paul Devore Leavy, 25, of Philadelphia, was arrested for possession of a retail theft device and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Two arrests came at Sesame Place at 3:16 p.m. on June 10, according to police. Baltimore residents Dantae Byrd, 23, and Chernise Sample, 18 were arrested and face theft charges after police said $271.59 worth of merchandise was stolen from Mr. Hooper’s Emporium. Byrd and Sample were arraigned by Judge Vislosky and sent to the Bucks County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.  

A 48-year-old Langhorne man was arrested after a retail theft at Redner’s Warehouse, 1365 East Lincoln Highway on at 3:10 p.m. on June 9. Police said Eli Joseph Khalili is wanted out of Bucks County, Trenton, N.J., and Hackensack, N.J. He was turned over to the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department.  

Christine Carlin, 35, of Philadelphia, was arrested for theft after police said she stole personal items, worth more than $250, from someone’s bag. It happened at 12:26 p.m. on June 10. Carlin was charged with theft and trespassing since she had been banned previously from the park, according to police.
