Spare Commuter Bus Parts Worth Nearly $3K Stolen

The Bristol Township police said one arrest and several thefts, amounting to thousands of dollars, were reported.

Michael Trush, 39, of Croydon, was arrested at Neshaminy Road in Croydon on Sunday. Trush was charged with simple assault and sent to jail on $50,000 bail.

Police said they are also investigating thefts.

Sometime overnight Saturday spare parts from a passenger bus at Penn Avenue in Levittown were stolen, police said. The value of the parts was more than $2,500.

Police said sometime overnight Sunday someone cut through a fence surrounding a cell tower building at Rosa Avenue in Croydon and stole a copper bus bar. The value of the bar is unknown.

An Apple iPhone was stolen from a home at Idlewild Road in Levittown sometime Friday. Police said the value of the phone is $700.

The catalytic convertor of a 2004 Toyota parked outside a location on Bristol Pike in Croydon was stolen sometime between 7 a.m and 4:30 p.m Friday, police said. The value of the item was $1,000.

A bicycle was stolen sometime over the course of last week from a home at Hillside Avenue in Bristol, according to police. The bike's approximate value was $200.

Tools were stolen from a shed in the backyard of a Croydon home on Second Avenue on March 31, police said. The retail value of the items exceeds $1,000.

Sometime between 9 p.m Thursday and 7 a.m Friday, police said it was reported that someone stole a laptop computer from a parked Subaru off New Chestnut Street in Bristol. The laptop was valued at about $1,200.

Police said a backpack and loose cash were stolen out from the back of a 2004 Hyundai that was parked outside of a home on Valley Road in Levittown. It happened sometime early morning Friday. The value of the stolen items were $50.

A home on Park Avenue in Bristol was broken into sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning, police said. The culprit stole loose cash and a variety of medication.

Bristol Township police also reported several acts of vandalism over the weekend.

Tires of a 1999 Mercury were slashed outside of a location on Veterans Highway sometime overnight on April 1.

A cell tower at Miller Avenue in Croydon was damaged sometime overnight on April 1. The vandalism caused $5,000 in approximate damages, police said.

The rear window of a 2001 Toyota, that was parked at a residence on Wistar Road in Fairless Hills, was broken sometime overnight Friday, police said. The cost of the damages is approximately $300.

A three-pane window at a residence at Winder Drive in Bristol was smashed sometime between 5 a.m and 4:30 p.m Friday, police said. The window's approximate value was $300.

Police said sometime at about 5:30 a.m. Saturday someone smashed a window on a 1999 Nissan that was parked on Spencer Drive in Croydon. The value of the damages has been estimated at around $600.
