Levittown Firefighters Help Contain Townhome Fire

The fire occurred on Prescott Court in Bensalem Saturday evening.

Firefighters were able to quickly contain a blaze in the attic of a townhome on Prescott Court in Bensalem.

It happened at a home at 5755 Prescott Court shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday.

No injuries were reported, but the fire caused damage to the attic and destroyed clothes stored in the space, Newport Fire Company Battalion Chief Andrew Witmer said.

Firefighters were at the scene within four minutes and quickly supressed the flames, Witmer told Patch.

The home remained habitable as of Saturday evening, the battalion chief said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Bensalem fire marshal's office.

Crews from the Levittown, Nottingham, Newport, Pendel and William Penn fire companies responded to the fire. Bensalem Township EMS was also on scene.
