Local police in two towns have dealt with several retail thefts incidents recently.
At 10 a.m. on Tuesday, two men walked into the Normandy Optical location at 85 Makefield Road in Falls Township and "removed" 14 pair of Gucci eyeglasses from the display area of the store, police said.
According to police, the designer frames were taken while the small business' owner was helping other customers.
The two suspects are described as a white male in the his 30s and a black male in his 40s, police said.
The glasses were valued at $1,635.
In November, Bristol police reported that 750 eyeglass frames were taken from a car on Dixon Avenue. No word if the crimes are connected.
Several retail thefts incidents were also reported in Middletown.
A 23-year-old Philadelphia man and an underage girl were arrested at the Oxford Valley Mall last week after they were nabbed taking over $1,100 worth of clothes from Macy's, authorities said.
Just days later, officers arrested a man accused of trying to take $172 worth of products from the Giant on New Falls Road.
Middletown police also said they arrested two 18-year-old Bristol girls after they were caught taking $256 worth of merchandise from the Sears at the Oxford Valley Mall Sunday evening.
