Woman Critical After Sunday Route 13 Crash

A 69-year-old Levittown woman is in critical condition after a serious accident on Route 13.

Bristol Township police released more information Tuesday on the serious traffic accident that happened Sunday night at Route 13 and Edgely Road.

A 69-year-old Levittown woman suffered serious injuries in the crash and had to freed by firefighters, police said. The woman was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital and remains in critical condition.

The woman was driving a maroon 1996 Buick Roadmaster north on Edgely Road when a silver 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by a 27-year-old Levittown man on Route 13 struck the Buick at the intersection at 6:14 p.m., police said.

As of press time, police have released no information on charges.

Route 13 was closed between Upper Beaver Dam Road and Haines Road until 10:50 p.m.

Police were assisted at the scene by Bristol Township Fire Police, Bucks County Rescue Squad, Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad, Third District Fire Company and Edgely Fire Company.
