Woman Missing Since 2010 Found in a Creek

It's been nearly 2.5 years since Diane Corado was allegedly abducted from her Falls Township home; her body was found in a New Jersey creek, according to reports.

, was declared legally dead in 2011 after she went missing a year earlier, and though officials didn’t have her body, the district attorney’s charged her ex-boyfriend, Kenneth Lamon Patterson, with murder.

In a startling turn, reports indicated that after all this time, Patterson, 50, allegedly told authorities where the body was, and Corado’s remains were retrieved from a creek in Camden N.J. two weeks ago, philly.com reported.

At the year anniversary of the crime, Falls police Lt. Hank Ward told Patch that investigators had “exhausted everything,” and only had Patterson, who wasn’t talking.

On Dec. 16, 2010, Corado was staying with a friend at the Village of Pennbrook apartment complex, when Patterson allegedly forced both women out of the apartment and into his car. BucksLocalNews.com reported that the roommate said Patterson had kicked her out of the car just before driving himself and Corado over the Ben Franklin bridge into Camden.

When Patterson’s car was found, the report stated, blood covered much of the front interior of the car and pooled in the cupholders. Police said no one could have survived that much blood loss.

"It's important, especially for Diane's family and friends," Bucks County First Assistant District Attorney Michelle Henry told philly.com. "Obviously this had been very hard for them."

Patterson—also charged with kidnapping—is scheduled for trial for early July.
