Advisory Issued As Wintery Precipitation Moves In

The National Weather Service is calling for one to four inches of snow Saturday in Levittown.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for Saturday as a winter weather system chugs toward the Levittown region.

Between one to four inches of snow are expected to fall Saturday, the National Weather Service's Mount Holly, N.J. office said late Friday. Several area TV stations are predicting two to four inches.

The winter weather advisory says snow is expected to start mid-morning. The advisory is in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

"This system is expected to intensify as it moves away Saturday night. Blustery conditions are therefore expected late Saturday night and Sunday," a briefing package distributed to local emergency planners by the NWS read.

Municipal and state road crews were seen spraying brine and placing rock salt on local roadways Friday afternoon.
