BCHD To Spray Mosquitoes In Bristol Township

As part of the West Nile Virus Control Program, the Bucks County Health Department will spray for adult mosquitoes in Bristol Township on Wednesday.

As part of the West Nile Virus Control Program, the Bucks County Health Department will spray for adult mosquitoes in Bristol Township on Wednesday.

The BCHD, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, will spray at dusk, weather permitting.

The areas to be treated include the marina in Croydon, Bristol Township and Neshaminy State Park in Bensalem Township. The spraying also includes 1st through 6th avenues and Miller, Delaware, Minot, Rosa, Main, Magnolia, Sycamore and Excelsior avenues -- in Bristol Township.

BCHD said it will use a 1997 Chevrolet truck (with license plate 66942MG) and a 2005 Ford Ranger truck (with license plate MG1548D). The agency said it will also use an ATV in Neshaminy State Park.

The chemical to be applied will be Biomist 3+15.
