Big Oak Road Closed for Repairs

A blown tire and bent rim are among the threats motorists face on pothole-strewn Big Oak Road in Middletown.

Crews have closed the entire legnth of Big Oak Road and will be working to repair the road surface, officials said.

The road will be closed for a "few days," the township stated in a Nixle release. Middletown also warned of the large potholes that could damage vehicles.

The one-mile-long road has been been riddled with potholes and cracked pavement for years.
