Commissioners Commend Dispatcher Who Saved Bristol Dog

Jessica Finnell was honored on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the Bucks County Commissioners presented a commendation to 911 dispatcher Jessica Finnell, who helped save a badly beaten dog in Bristol Township.

Dusk, also known as Lady, was found along Emilie Road with her eyes out of their sockets and skull fractures.

Finnell took the dog in and started an online donation page for the injured animal. The page raised thousands of dollars to help pay for Dusk’s continuing vet care.

“Ms. Finnell earned praise for following up after the call came in the county Emergency Communications system,” according to information posted by the county website.

Commissioner Charlie Martin said the dispatcher "demonstrated a special commitment to the safety and well-being of not only Bucks County's residents but also its four-legged friends."
