Election Preview: Pennsylvania Treasurer

Democrat incumbent Robert McCord and Republican Diana Vaughn are vying for state treasurer in the Nov. 6 general election.

Democrat incumbent Robert McCord is facing a challenge from Republican Diana Vaughn in the race for state Treasurer. The election is Nov. 6.

McCord, 53, of Montgomery County, has served as state treasurer since 2008.

Vaughn, 50, is a Washington County commissioner.

Both candidates responded to a questionnaire by the League of Women Voters and answered the question: “If elected, what do you believe to be your most important priority in this office and how will you pursue it?”
