Bristol Waterfront Project Receives Federal Grant

The $1.5 million grant will aid Bristol Borough's waterfront redevelopment plan.

Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick, Bristol Borough Council President Ralph DiGiuseppe and Bill Pezza, president of the Bristol Development Committee, announced Tuesday morning the awarding of $1.5 million grant that will assist Bristol Borough officials in their plan to revitalize the waterfront area.

According to philly.com, the borough will use the money to construct a pedestrian pier and floating docks that can hold up to 25 boats, all just a walk away from the riverfront business district.

The project received previously received a $480,000 grant from the Bucks County Commissioners, with another $520,000 promised if the federal grant went through.
