The Bucks County Health Department held a free clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday to get children the needed vaccinations before the mandatory deadline.

Saturday's line extended out the door and snaked around the building. Some parents said they waited for nearly two hours before they were seen. Meanwhile, volunteers, including nurses and area physicians, said they began set up at 8 a.m. and stayed well past 2 p.m. to treat the more than 130 children who received their needed shots.

One physician told Levittown Patch this week's clinic was busier than last week's clinic in Doylestown.

Students who are not up-to-date on their age and grade appropriate vaccinations will be excluded from school on May 1, according to Pennsylvania Department of Health requirements. For more information on vaccinations visit the Pa. Department of Health's website.
