The former waste water treatment facility in the 3000 block of Newportville Road in Bristol Township will soon be a thing of the past.
At their most recent meeting, the Bucks County Commissioners approved a $493,620 demolition bid from Comar-based Geppert Brothers.
The site has been closed for years and poses several concerns for the county, officials said.
The land, which sits along the Neshaminy Creek, is set to be turned back into open space, an official told the commissioners.
Dilapidated buildings currently fill the grounds of the site. A busted security fence appears to have done little to stop vandals over the years at the site.
