Local Officials To Co-Host Voter ID Assistance Event At Bristol Senior Center

State Rep. Tina Davis and Bristol Township Councilman Tony Tucker host Thursday event.

State Rep. Tina Davis, D-Bucks, will host a voter ID event at the Bristol Township Senior Center.

The event takes place at 2501 Bath Road at 6 p.m. Thursday.  

"The voter ID law has caused a lot of confusion and concern for residents, particularly seniors," Davis said. "This free event will ensure that everyone who wants to vote is properly equipped to come November."

Davis is co-hosting the event with Bristol Township Councilman Tony Tucker.

Davis and Tucker will speak with residents and answer questions about the new voter ID law and its requirements. Forms needed to acquire proper identification also will be available.

the new requirement that every voter present a valid form of photo identification each time they vote. The requirement takes effect for the November 2012 general election and will be in effect for every election after that.
